ABOUT ME
BEHIND THE LENS
I was born and raised in New York City and became interested in photography when I join the staff of my high school yearbook.
After moving to Los Angeles back in the 80’s to study photography and motion picture history, I started working as an assistant for two prominent Los Angeles portrait photographers where I learned the art of photographing people and creating moods with lighting. Over this period, I also studied photojournalism and developed invaluable skills of telling a story through photography and an eye for capturing unique moments in time.
I created my own studio, where I shoot pretty much anything which interests me! I’ve covered celebrity news events, including the Academy Awards, MTV Awards, Emmys, and numerous movie premieres on behalf of move studios and PR companies. I’ve worked with models, shot multiple weddings from a Los Angeles beach to the Staten Island Fairy wedding and have worked on movie and commercial sets as the official stills photographer.
But it's not all been so showbiz! I have substantial experience at covering news events for wire services, shooting in some chaotic conditions ( Democratic Convention 2000 Riot, Running of the Bulls).
My work can be seen in over 30 magazines in more than 17 countries worldwide and I’ve been published in four books overseas
